Principles of a safer space
The Market of Opportunities adheres to Fingo’s principles of a safer space:
We acknowledge our biases and strive to treat everyone equally. We do not emphasize background, make assumptions, or generalize based on our own experiences. We recognize our own privileges and positions of power, and use them responsibly.
We respect individuality and diversity: We give everyone space to express themselves and respect their boundaries. We do not make assumptions or highlight personal characteristics, but treat everyone equally and with respect.
We give space and listen: Everyone has the right to decide what they want to share, and we strive to listen respectfully.
We are constantly learning and encourage one another: We accept mistakes and strive to learn from them openly and encouragingly.
The Social Forum adheres to Werstas’ principles for a safer space
Everyone is equally valued and welcome here. We do not make assumptions about another person’s gender, sexuality, ability, wealth, or background. Racism and discrimination have no place in the museum; please keep this in mind in your language as well.
The museum is a place to enjoy, learn, and experience. We can respectfully disagree and change our perspectives.
The museum respects people’s personal space. Do not touch others without permission. We have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment and other violent behavior on our premises.
If you experience discrimination, threats, harassment, or see someone behaving in a disruptive manner, please contact a staff member. Inappropriate behavior will be addressed.
